The merit badges (“MB”) each scout has earned in the troop, along with the dates, are available by logging into Scoutbook. 

There are 12 MBs required to reach the rank of Eagle Scout. Scouts have an opportunity to earn the rest of the 21 MBs required to reach Eagle by participating in regularly scheduled Troop activities, and Patrol level activities.

Troop 223 uses the following codes are used to indicate the type of MB.

• 00-12 – Required for Eagle Scout (e.g. Swimming, First Aid)

• 13-99 – MBs earned through the normal course of Troop 223 (e.g. Railroading, Water Sports)

• 100’s – Patrol MB – 1st choice

• 200’s – Patrol MB – 2nd & 3rd choices

• 300’s – MBs earned individually
